| NEW COFFEE ALERT| FOR 1 MONTH ONLY | MICROLOT PEABERRY FROM KEREDIMBA PODU, BR HILLS
The Kaadu Kumbala or ‘Forest Pumpkin’ is an uncommon creeper found in wet evergreen forests in BR Hills. The forest pumpkin is relished not for its fruit but its leaves which are used for added punch in local recipes for sambar.
The August microlot coffee is an unusual departure for us because its the first time we’ve used a Peaberry bean! When we wanted to create this coffee we called out to our most trusted cup-tasters – the mob at Uncommon who know our coffees like we know biscuits and are therefore cosmically placed to brew, blend, sip, repeat tirelessly till we’ve crafted something extraordinary.
Origin: Keredimba, BR Hills
Bean: Peaberry, Cauvery
Process: A blend of hand-pulped and natural, sun-dried Arabica coffee
Roast: Full city
Grind: as you like | Our tip: select an extra coarse grind for cold brews, medium grind for aeropress and pour overs and a medium-fine grind for filter coffee and moka pots and percolators.
Flavour: This coffee, AG says is “upfront”. The dark roast highlights its natural sweetness but we paired it with Dairy Milk nonetheless! Recommended both as a pour-over and Aeropress.
Available as 250g only
